Digital training is not a substitute for the classroom, it is the second half of it. Since 2018 the material of every attended course has been available to participants digitally. Since 2020 the digital and the physical Academy are one unit: participants take part in a course live, on site or online, and afterwards work through the recordings and presentations at their own pace, independently of time and place.
Every participant has a personal account on the Academy learning platform. The dashboard shows the course categories and the courses booked. Each course carries a short summary in chronological order and the detailed sequence with the times and places of the sessions. Live sessions are held in the Academy's own classrooms and conference rooms, which open in the browser without any installation; microphone and camera are checked by an echo test before entering.
Live lectures include the answers to the participants' own questions, about the lecture and about their own projects. The recording of the live lectures remains available for six months after the seminar.
Recordings are made under European data protection law. During recorded periods, sound and image of the participants are switched off; only the lecturer and the staff of the institute are visible. This protects the privacy of everyone in the room.
Formats offered digitally: fully digital seminars, and hybrid seminars in which one group is present on site and another group takes part online. The hybrid format has been in the programme in German since 2020 and in English since 2021.
Fees and booking
The participation fee depends on format and duration and is stated in the flyer for the respective event. For digital formats the fee covers online access to the live session and to the material on the campus.
You can book directly on the campus. Payment by PayPal is possible there and access to the course is granted as soon as payment is received. Booking by invoice and bank transfer remains available.
If you cancel by the deadline stated in the flyer, 50 percent of the fee is refunded. After that deadline no refund is possible. Recording or passing on course content requires our written consent.
Academic recognition
Credit points are available on request and by arrangement. Please state your university and the intended course when you enquire.
